I completely agree! That's precisely why we are calling it a 'Toy Makeover'! I love that the toys are eco-friendly; I love that they are toys to stimulate the imagination; I love the bright colours and glossy wood; I want to play with them all myself!

So not only do they use a natural resource that would normally be wasted, but they are also working to restore a wilderness area that was destroyed by fire (the Phu Luang Forest, which they are replanting). Just reading through their website may make me decide to never buy any toy that WASN'T made by Plan Toys! :)

You could use the Plan City for social studies, with a little thought you could provide materials for learning about land and water forms. Add some word cards and make language arts fun! Teach colors, counting, addition, subtraction- hey go into multiplication and division. Why not?

These toys are well made, durable, eco-friendly, and fun to play with, they make excellent gifts, or "just because" they are the perfect toy. My kids just love them and I am very fond of them myself. I can't say enough good things about Plan Toys.

Just a quick response to your comment about the fire truck ladder...I'm sure that Plan would insist on making it right for you. I would suggest contacting them:)! They are so great and I KNOW they wouldn't want your sweeties running around with a broken ladder!! It's also a great opportunity for them to find out what went wrong and prevent the problem from happening with other customers:).

I like that Plan Toys is environmentally responsible.
All PlanToys products carry the CE mark showing that they meet the EN71 safety standards. The EN71 toy safety requirements were established in 1990 for all toys sold in the European Union. Toys that carry the CE mark are also phthalate free.

I think I heard once that the rubberwood used to be discarded after all of the rubber sap was gone, but now toy makers like Play Toys are putting it to use! I think that is great! (I hope it is true! :) )
I would love to see Plan Toys Largescale begin to offer some balance wedges, swings (indoor or outdoor), and more outdoor toys to keep active kids busy!
When my son was little, my Grandma let him pick up her wonderful olive wood Baby Jesus from the set. He said "Baby Jesus wants to jump on the bed!" and they did!!

I LOVE the new Green Dollhouse, if I won, that is the first thing I would want, along with the Eco Plan City stuff, City Station,Airport, Adventure Road and Rail, modern chair and table set. I adore Plan Toys, we love the Kitchen Center, and own 95% wood (mostly Plan Toys).
It would be great if you had a cloth bag with an interesting closing mechanism that is easy but interesting. And then fun hand size items to put in it.

I have a couple of their pull toys and they are great! They are great quality and so cute!
My kids have thrown them around, ran them into each other, and they have gone in and out of the toy box thousands of time; they still look brand new! The only improvement I would suggest is a longer string. It's only about a foot long, so it makes it hard to pull around.
The only suggestion I have for the website is that there isn't a price listing. When I look at an item, I want to know right then what it will cost me.

It gives me hope that one day all products will be made to be health & eco responsible.
Conscience companies like Plan are proving that there's no reason all products can't be.
I really appreciate Plan toys for being a manufacturer of high quality, smooth, wooden toys. The substantial weight also is pleasant to me SPD child.
My final suggestion is that Plan could make wooden dishware for actual use. Wooden dishes and utensils that kids could really use to eat with. That would help protect kids against the harmful plastics.
They could have a way for the child to slide open one panel to get to their surprise.
A small suggestion to encourage quick shopping: I think a little "sale" area would help me throw in a bunch of items in my cart when I need last-minute gifts (which is always!) and am pressed for time and unable to research/comparison shop to the full extent.
Otherwise, Plan Toys has little room for improvement; I'm of the philosophy if it isn't broke, don't fix it! The site does not need much tinkering. I enjoy the environmentally-conscious toys, and at last I have found a site that offers the toys I prefer buying due to their beauty and durability (wood vs. plastic, no contest!)..I love these beautiful natural wood toys offered at Plan Toys- I avoid plastic mass-produced toys like the plague. I can't find this kind of toy at Target, there is no such thing.. One toy site is pretty much all I need for the many kids on my list. The shopping spree at Plan Toys would be a dream, but it's good to know I can shop there anytime!
