Babycotton's website has a beautiful "soft" feel about it, using pastels and muted colors. It makes me want their goodies even more. Who wants anything but SOFT for our baby-pies?

I wasn't overly impressed. The styles for boys seemed old fashioned. I would have liked more primary colors and hipper styles. But then again I like that more modern look.

I love how cozy but, cute their clothes look. The Vincent overall and the nautic bodysuit are among my faves. I enjoyed reading their philosophy of dressing baby as baby because that is actually how I like to dress my son but, is surprisingly hard to find babyish clothes. I love this line of baby clothing.

First of all, there is not a single item in the Newborn Basics section that I don't love! Also, the statement that impressed me was, "At babycottons we intend to maintain the natural bond between the baby and those who relate with him." What a wonderful company! Very pretty clothes, but it is hard to see them. The clothes are mainly white and pastel and the background is white so it kind of mushes together. They should try to find a way to enhance the contrast to make things more visible.

I really like the refreshing colors of the site. It feels very clean baby like. The explanation of how the company was formed was really nice. The clothes are clean, crisp looking. They are a little expensive for as basic as they are. I would drop them maybe $5 to $10. Or sale them more. I would think this would bring another bracket of buyers. Otherwise the clothes are cute and fun.

The items looks beautiful, soft, well-made and so classic. I would love for my little girl to have some of the babycottons clothes.

One thing I noticed about their website that they might want to consider.
I clicked on "baby girl" and came to this page http://www.babycottons.com/store/department/53/...
I'm using a laptop and I found it difficult to see the light pink outline pictures above each of the categories unless I tilted my screen at a specific angle. The pictures were just so light it was hard to see them unless I looked at the screen a specific way. They might consider making them darker or putting a more contrasting background behind them.

I love that BabyCotton's website is designed to dress babies just as they are..babies. It gives you that "oh so new, soft feel of the babes".
The "hens design" is so cute! My first granddaughter due in Aug. 2009 would be so cute in any of those outfits!

I love that they use pima cotton. One note about their site, though: when I click on the categories, it appears the pages are blank-- no proucts. It took a minute for me to realize that I had to scroll all the way down on my screen to see anything, which I'm sure they didn't intend. I use Internet Explorer, whatever the latest version is (9?).

The harvesting of Peruvian Pima Cotton is done by hand and in perfect conditions ,the cotton is the softest you can find. I love when my babies are wrapped in a soft cotton. They feel so safe and secure.I love that the sizes go from birth to size 6. The clothes look wonderful. Thanks

I really love the delicate colors - they're soft and gentle and look perfect for newborns especially. Website was was easy to use but I would have liked bigger pictures of the clothes and better, clearer close ups of the design to see the colors and prints more clearly. be nice to scroll over and see the pattern on a pic rather than have to click.

I happen to put on only the softest cotton on my babies aka pima cotton so I'm glad that's the only cotton they use. It's nice that they have a selection of organic cotton items although I do wish I could find a larger selection of items above 12m. The items in the Peter collection are really cute especially the short playsuit

Although I adore their products, their "Philosophy Statement" needs improving (well, you asked) - it primarily describes their use of Pima cotton, but does not describe their products, how they are made and under what conditions. "We intend to maintain the natural bond between the baby and those who relate with him"? What does that mean? Are they trying to say how cute their baby clothes are? And, what does that have to do with bonding? Other than that, their stores are located in FL, NJ and NY. I live in CA. I did fall in love with the boy's playsuits, especially the "Logo Basic Playsuit" with long sleeves ($38), the Polo Cardigan ($45) and the Green Peter Footie ($39), so I'll be needing that $150 GC to buy them! LOL

I like the items they have, but they also need some in gender neutral styles. That way if you're invited to a baby shower where the parents are still expecting and have elected not to know the sex of the baby before birth, you have a choice of something to give. I mean something in greens or yellows as an option, which could be used on either a baby boy or baby girl depending on which it will become. Site is easy to get around. They need a few more design options too. Yet, I really like that you know they are a successful business in 5 countries. If I ever get back to Florida I'd like to visit their in store shops. I like the Mrilou clothes and toys for newborn girls, they look very sweet and very functionable. I love the baby girl outfits with all the chickens too. The Pima Cotton looks very soft.

Just browsing through the girl section - most things are white or another very light colo, and against the white background they are hard to see. If the background were slightly tinted (even the light blue of the borders) the items would be easier to view.

I like that they only use the highest quality softest Pima Cotton and they have some organic pieces. I think this is very important today as babies will be exposed to pollutants and germs no mater how hard we try and to put something pure and organic on them will act as a barrier. I'm pregnant with my second and its a boy. Some of the boy clothes are a little more "frilly/sissy" than I would normally go for but my mom always fussed at me for not getting my first son's pictures taken in more "baby" looking clothes. NORMALLY I go more for the polo and jeans look. They did have some things that I would put my baby in all the time though!

Here's an excerpt taken from an email I received today from Alexis Hoffman at Babycottons:

"I wanted to personally thank you for your comment and reply to your question regarding our Philosophy Statement (I don't argue that it can be improved but I just wanted to clarify what we mean by "maintain the natural bond between the baby and those who relate with him"). I am sure that you would agree with me that there is absolutely nothing cuter in this world than to see your naked baby smiling at you. They are just so happy when you take off their clothes and lie skin to skin next to you. Right? That is the natural bond that we want to maintain. We do not want our brand or piece of clothing to come in between that, you and your baby!

As we have no alternative but to dress up our children (and we are thankful for that obviously!), we try to create clothing that does not interupt that harmonious experience. That is why you will never see a huge BABYCOTTONS patchwork across one of our PJs or onesies. We don't want your child to be a living banner for our brand. We just put a small embroidery of our signature bunny in the clothing, with the same color thread as the garment. Hardly noticeable...but there to guarantee its an authentic babycottons!"

I am so glad to find this giveaway. I complain often when purchasing a baby gift, that i can never find anything that looks like a baby should be wearing it. I always find things that look like a 15/16 year old should be wearing. I love the colors, I love that your Brand Name is not in huge letters on the front of the clothing, I love that you have great quality items. Good Company.
I like the baby colors muted, but I will admit that I do like bright colors also, but in the baby styles. Thanks for introducing us to this great site. I will be back, I saw dresses for 2 special little girls.

I love the fact that they carry the "diaper shirts" The little newborn shirts that snap at the side. Those are so convenient and comfortable down here in the south, but next to impossible to find!!

As for the site, I had to get really close to the computer screen to see some of the picures, because they were almost the same shade as the screen. They didn't show up very well. Don't get me wrong, I love the products and styles they have, bu probably wouldn't go back there too often because it strains the eyes.

They use Pima cotton. I would never have to worry about any kind of skin irritation. This cotton is so soft!!!! I love it. the colors match the cotton well, also! All of the colors are sweet, soft, pastel colors. I think this company is doing a great thing by using this kind of cotton (sorry I went back to the cotton) because skin irritation is a big thing for me with my son and this really helps reduce/prevent it.

I was happy to see that they have a few organic items, though I would hope to see a lot more in the near future, for the sake of the babies wearing these clothes, the workers who grow and harvest the cotton and the health of our planet overall.
